As I mentioned in a previous post (https://beginbonsai.net/2019/01/11/tiger-bark-ficus-ficus-microcarpa/), I have a lot of ficus trees. The two trees in a bonsai pot from today’s post started out as cuttings from the mother Ficus microcarpa tree that was the subject of the January 2019 post.

The trees today.

These trees began as cuttings that I stuck in a pot sometime in 2015 and let grow freely over the summer.

The cuttings the following spring with new growth.

The trees removed from the pot for repotting.

Trunk- and root-pruned and placed in the pot.

The trees two summers ago, beginning to take their current shape.

The trees last October after 5 seasons of growth.
