Canyon oaks (Quercus chrysolepis) from acorns

These trees made their first appearance in this blog on the June 10,
2019 post

for another Canyon oak. Today’s posting details their development
before and after that time.

March 21, 2020:
The three trees today.
December 30, 2017:
Thirteen canyon acorns were collected locally.
April 5, 2017:
Two sprouting.
May 19, 2017:
Three!
November 19, 2018:
Growth at the end of their first year.
March 3, 2019:
Wired for movement.
April 20, 2019:
New growth.
July 16, 2019:
Summer growth on the bonsai benches. The egg shell is probably a
mourning or Eurasian collared dove egg, eaten by crows and left in the pot.
December 7, 2019:
Fall rain.
January 25, 2020:
Three little trees.
February 16, 2020:
More wire.
February 27, 2020:
A miniature world.
March 21, 2020:
Removed from pot.
March 21, 2020:
Long roots on the first tree.
March 21,2020:
Root-pruned.
March 21, 2020:
Long roots on the second tree.
March 21, 2020:
Root-pruned.
March 21, 2020:
Even longer roots on the third tree.
