These trees made their first appearance in this blog on the June 10,
2019 post
(https://beginbonsai.net/2019/06/10/canyon-oak-quercus-chrysolepis/)
for another Canyon oak. Today’s posting details their development
before and after that time.

The three trees today.

Thirteen canyon acorns were collected locally.

Two sprouting.

Three!

Growth at the end of their first year.

Wired for movement.

New growth.

Summer growth on the bonsai benches. The egg shell is probably a
mourning or Eurasian collared dove egg, eaten by crows and left in the pot.

Fall rain.

Three little trees.

More wire.

A miniature world.

Removed from pot.

Long roots on the first tree.

Root-pruned.

Long roots on the second tree.

Root-pruned.

Even longer roots on the third tree.

Root-pruned.

Each tree was potted similarly.

Three separate trees.
